The Inverness Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, communicating, interpreting, and promoting the history, heritage, and culture of the community of Inverness and the surrounding area. Focusing on the central theme of coal mining history, we aim to provide quality exhibits in a well-managed, accessible facility, applying general museum policies and standards for schools, community, researchers, and visitors.
